What you can do with Photomop, what we ask you not to do, and what we are honestly able to promise about early software.
Use the tools for anything legal, including commercial work. What you make is yours, and we claim nothing in it. In return, do not use Photomop to break the law or to hurt someone, and understand that this is early software provided as it is, with no promise that it will be perfect or permanently available.
The sections below are the full version. They are written to be read rather than to be survived, but they are still the terms that apply when you use the site.
By using photomop.com or any tool on it, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. If you are using Photomop on behalf of a company, you are confirming you have the authority to accept them for that company.
We do not claim any ownership of your input images or your results, and we could not exercise such a claim in any case, since we never receive either one.
Enforcement is limited by design. Because your editing happens on your own device, we cannot see what you are making and therefore cannot police it. These rules describe the licence you are given to use the software, and using it outside them ends that licence.
You keep every right you had in the images you bring, and you own the results you produce. We take no licence in them, because there is no transfer for a licence to attach to. This is a consequence of the architecture rather than a favour, which is the strongest form the promise can take. See the privacy policy for what we do and do not receive.
Photomop is early software, and the changelog is honest about which parts are rough. The site and the tools are provided as they are, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
Specifically, we do not promise that:
Keep your originals. A tool that runs in a browser tab is subject to everything that can happen to a browser tab.
The tools are currently free to use, and the pricing page describes what is included today and what the planned Pro plan will add. Pro is not on sale yet.
We may change what each plan includes, introduce new plans, or change prices. Where a change affects something you are paying for, we will give notice before it applies to your subscription and you will be able to cancel. Where it affects the free plan, we will publish the change here and in the changelog rather than letting you discover it.
When paid plans launch, subscriptions will renew automatically until cancelled, cancellation will stop the next charge rather than end the current period, and prices will be quoted in US dollars with any applicable tax added at checkout.
The tools use openly licensed machine learning models, chosen so that commercial use of your output is unambiguous. Those models remain the property of their authors and are used under their own licences, which we honour and expect you to honour too. Nothing in these terms grants you a right to redistribute a model file separately from the site.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Photomop is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost images arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for free users is nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limits above apply only as far as they are permitted where you live. Nothing here is intended to exclude liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You can stop using Photomop at any time by closing the tab; there is no account to delete while the tools run without one. We may block access from a network or an API key that is abusing the service, and we may withdraw or change any part of the site. If we ever shut the service down, we will say so on this site with as much notice as we can give.
We are a small team and the operating entity is still being set up. Rather than name a convenient jurisdiction we have not actually established, we will state the governing law and the venue for disputes in this section before any money changes hands, and we will note the change in the changelog. Until then, mandatory consumer protections in your own country apply to you in full and are not affected by anything on this page.
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them and the change is recorded in the changelog. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the updated version.
