The toolbox

The whole toolbox. Every tool free to use.

Each one opens in a tab, runs where you are standing, and hands the file straight back. Full resolution, no watermark, nothing uploaded. If you are not sure which you need, the toolbox page sorts them by the problem rather than by the name.

Most opened tool

Remove a background in about three seconds.

Hair, fur, glass and wheel spokes included. The model downloads once, caches, and then every image after that is instant, offline, and yours alone. The rest of the toolbox is below, and it works the same way.

BeforeAfter

The other eleven are below. Every one of them keeps the resolution you brought and exports without a watermark, which follows from where the work happens rather than from a launch promotion.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them is “wait”.

The same three steps for every tool. No upload, no queue, no waiting room, and the slowest part is choosing the photo.

  1. 01

    Drop your image

Drag a file in, paste from the clipboard, or point the camera at it. The file is read straight off your disk.

  2. 02

    The work happens here

Crops and conversions are instant. The tools that need a model download it once, cache it, and then run on your GPU.

  3. 03

    Download the result

PNG with a real alpha channel, JPG, WebP or AVIF, at the resolution you brought and with no watermark on it.

See it work

Six tools. Six different jobs. Nothing loads.

Sample scenes drawn for this page, one per tool, so you can see what each one actually changes before you spend a photo of your own on it. Drag a handle where there is one.

  • Remove backgroundDrag

Hair and fur survive the cut. What is left is a real alpha channel, not a white box.

  • UpscaleDrag

Four times the pixels on a small product shot, without the smeared plastic look.

  • Erase objectDrag

The cable crosses the subject, so the fill has to rebuild the mug as well as the wall.

  • Blur backgroundDrag
    Flat backdrop
    Subject sharp
    BeforeAfter

One mask, two treatments: the room goes soft and the subject stays sharp to the edge.

  • ResizeWatch

The crop moves, the photo does not. Every marketplace preset is one click.

Same pixels. A quarter of the file.

The container changes and the picture does not. That is the whole job, and the proof.

Crop, compress, transparent background, background swap, passport photo and batch edit work the same way.

Why on-device wins

The server was always the expensive part.

Take it out and three things change at once.

Private

The photo is opened on your device and never leaves it. There is no bucket with your customer's face in it, because there is no bucket.

Instant

No upload, no download, no place in a queue. After the model caches once, the round trip is the length of your GPU's attention span.

Free

Running on your hardware costs us nothing per image, which is why the free plan hands back the full resolution you brought, with no watermark on it.

“Typical cloud tool” describes the common free-tier pattern across server-side photo editors. It is not a claim about any one named product, and individual tools differ.

The long version, with the pipeline drawn out and a ledger of what leaves your device against what never does, is on the on-device privacy page.

Photoroom is around $12.99 a month and Pixelcut around $9.99. Pro undercuts both, and the free tier here exports at full resolution, which their free tiers cap. That gap is a consequence of where the model runs, not of a launch discount.

FAQ

The eight questions everyone asks first.

Short answers, and none of them ends in “upgrade to find out”.

Is it really free, or is this a trial?

Free, and not a trial. Every tool on this page runs on your own hardware, so there is no server bill for us to pass on to you. You get full resolution and no watermark on the free plan. Pro adds batch processing, an API and HD background packs on top.

Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?

No. The model runs on your own device, inside the tab. Your image is read from disk into memory, processed there, and written back out as a download. Nothing is sent to us, which is also why the tools keep working after you drop your connection.

Where does it run?

On your own device, in any modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and their mobile versions. Chrome and Edge take the WebGPU path, which is fastest; everything else falls back to WebAssembly and produces the same cut-out. Native iOS and Android apps are planned, and the on-device promise does not change when they land.

How is the quality compared to cloud tools?

The same class of segmentation model, run in a different place. Cloud tools often cap your free export to a small preview and charge for the full-size file, so the practical quality gap usually runs in our favour: you get the full-resolution result on the first try.

What file formats can I bring?

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP and HEIC from an iPhone. Cut-outs come back as PNG or WebP with a real alpha channel, and you can export a flattened JPG when a marketplace insists on one.

Is there a resolution or file size limit?

No fixed cap. Your device sets the ceiling. On a laptop, 12 megapixel photos are routine. On an older phone we run the model at a reduced size and composite the result back onto your full-resolution original, so the file you download is still the size you started with.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes. Your photo stays yours, the output is yours, and there is no attribution requirement. Sell the listing, print the catalogue, ship the ad.

What do I get with Pro?

The things that genuinely cost money to run or take real work to build: unattended batch processing, a hosted API with 1,000 images a month included, curated HD background packs and early access to new tools. It is $8 a month, or $5 a month billed yearly. Single-image editing is free.

Your photo. Your device. Your call.

Open a tool, drop an image, and watch the work happen without a single byte leaving the machine you are sitting at.
